I can’t believe it has already been ONE YEAR of being Mrs. Ryan Dempsey. The time has really flown by, but when I look back on the past year I can’t believe how much we have both accomplished, individually and together. Ryan and the band have played with Phil Lesh on a number of shows, they’ve had another successful year at their Tumble Down festival, and they’ve donated tens of thousands (maybe even hundreds of thousands?) of dollars to charities through the White Light Foundation. I relaunched Tour Wife Tour Life, found my passion in working with elementary school children, and most recently joined the team launching a brand new after-school program in Cambridge, Vermont. Together we have left Burlington, purchased our first home, travelled to Central and South America, Europe, Canada and more. I feel truly blessed to have such a kind, loving, hilarious, and crazy husband. I can’t wait to see what the next year holds for us, and the year after that, and so on. We decided to celebrate our first year by traveling to Aruba and recreating the best day of our lives in one of my favorite places in the world. Here are some of those special moments. Next year I think I will let him pick our celebration spot and I’m excited to see where we will end up ;).
After an amazing week we are going to continue the celebration later tonight at The Fillmore in Philadelphia for another segment of the Unbroken Train with Twiddle, Midnight North, and Phil Lesh and the Terrapin Family Band! What a great way to top it all off! I’ll be posting our Aruban adventures throughout the next two weeks so keep checking in for new updates!
