It’s been a week since Thanksgiving so I’ve had plenty of time to reflect on everything that makes me feel blessed every day. So many amazing things have happened in our lives these past few months and now we are OFFICIALLY a team of grateful Dempseys. This year was our first year married and also our first year celebrating Thanksgiving without our families. People always say “everything happens for a reason” and I truly believe that is the TRUTH because we had a very special day just spending time together. I’ve never cooked a Thanksgiving dinner before, but I’d say it went pretty well - you’d have to ask him and see if he agrees! Let me just tell you now ... the Cheese and Garlic "Crack Bread" is something that we would cook once a week so I included the recipe link (along with the other recipes too!) below :) ENJOY!
I really cooked it - here's the proof!
Delicious Turkey, pull-apart Cheese and Garlic "Crack Bread", Brown Butter Garlic Honey Roasted Carrots, My Grandmother's recipe for Homemade Stuffing, and some of the best Macaroni and Cheese I have EVER had!
Even Oscar passed out after eating that turkey!
First Dempsey family Thanksgiving portrait :)
The nice thing about a quiet holiday alone with your husband is getting to reflect on all that you’ve been through and make new goals for the coming year. This year started out rough, with the loss of our pet Chauncey, and we decided to leave our home in Bomoseen and move up north. Honestly, I feel that this was one of the best changes we could’ve made for ourselves and it definitely made the second half of the year even more incredible than it may have been. Now we are looking forward to hopefully moving into a home that we own where we can settle down and begin our life as a family!
xoxo. Alexandra
