I love getting recommendations from friends - whether it is new music to listen to, a new restaurant to try, or some great purchases they've made. If you do too then you’ll love this new series “A FEW OF MY FAVORITE THINGS.” I’ll be giving you my recommendations of all of the above and more and, hopefully, you’ll find new things to love! If you have any favorite things you’d like to recommend to me as well please leave a comment! The past two weeks have been some of the coldest days I’ve EVER experienced in my life and that is not an exaggeration! It’s honestly gotten me thinking about what some of my favorites for the winter season are...

ModCloth Loch & Key Scarf ($34.99) I absolutely love this scarf I got as a gift from a friend (I have the black and white plaid!). It’s pretty much a staple in my winter wardrobe. It’s super soft and cozy, plus it’s a blanket scarf, measuring 55” by 55” - perfect to keep warm!

Sorel Joan of Arctic Snow Boot ($180.00)
I don’t know if I could survive the Vermont winter without these boots. My grandma very thoughtfully bought these Sorel boots for me when I first moved here two winters ago! They are still like brand new and keep my feet dry and warm no matter how long I’m outside, which is a MUST! You can buy them HERE.
Justin Timberlake “Man of the Woods”
One word. Obsessed. I can't wait to hear the rest of the songs on the album when it comes out in February. This is going to be my soundtrack for the next few months and I’ve already asked Ryan to take me to one of the concerts on the Man of the Woods Tour he just announced. Fingers crossed!

Tito’s Hot Chocolate
In case you didn’t know, Tito’s has an entire section on their website dedicated to recipes ... and, even better, they are sorted by season! One of my favorite ways to stay warm is with a Tito’s Hot Chocolate. Here’s the (super easy) recipe:
1 oz Tito’s Handmade Vodka
0.25-0.5 oz Dark Créme de Menthe
4 oz Hot Chocolate
Optional: Whipped Cream
What do you love? I'd love to hear some of your favorite things :)
xoxo. Alexandra
