Since we have lived right outside of Stowe, Vermont for a few years, Ryan and I have had a chance to try some great food and see some amazing sights. A lot of you guys ask me for recommendations when you come to visit the area so I am slowly putting together a list of all of our favorite Stowe things!
The first restaurant I ever went to in Stowe when I first moved to Vermont five years ago was Idletyme Brewing Company. I am pretty sure that I went on one of the first days that they opened -- there had previously been a restaurant called Crop Bistro and Brewery in that location until it was taken over by owners of Michael’s on the Hill Restaurant in Waterbury Center, Michael and Laura. That is also another amazing restaurant in the area, but we will save that for another time!!! Anyways, Idletyme has definitely become one of my favorite restaurants in Stowe over the years, and I especially love eating there in the summer! They have the cutest outdoor patio in the back yard with a wrap around bar and strung lights making for a beautiful ambiance. But don’t worry if it isn’t nice enough weather to sit outside because the inside is stunning as well!
I most recently went with my mom and we were lucky to have a gorgeous, sunny day, so we sat outside and enjoyed their amazing menu! We opted to share a beautiful salad with goat cheese, blackberries and walnuts for our appetizer as well as a bowl of their Edamame (ate it too quickly to take a photo HAHA!). For our main courses I had the Tuna Poké Bowl with avocado (YUM!) and she had the Pub Burger! SO DELICIOUS! Let me know if you check it out when you are in Stowe, Vermont!
STAY TUNED for more of my guide to Stowe, Vermont to hear all about the restaurants we eat at and activities we do! Plus, if you have any restaurants that YOU love, please leave them in the comments!
xoxo. Alexandra
